Transcommunicator II (Fender and Snakes)

Similar to Transcommunicator I this installation employs the same kind of mechanism for experiencing text to braille to sound to light and back to sound and vibration. In the case of this installation the sound and vibration is transferred into the black floor sections that are also ramped to accommodate wheelchair users. Transducers are attached to the underside of the the floor sections and when standing on the area of the floor you are hearing the sound created by the the punched holes in the music scrolls as it passes through the music box and feel it as vibration on your feet or through the wheelchair. The original text varies but is founded in the principles of disability culture and justice.
